Your Day,
Stop by Stop.
Five hours across Hội An Island and its craft villages — across the Thu Bồn River, through country lanes, into workshops that have been operating for centuries.
-
08:00
Hotel Pickup
Your guide arrives on the vintage Vespa at your hotel. A quick safety briefing, helmets on, and you're off into the morning light.
-
08:15
Thu Bồn River Bridge
Cross the bridge over the Thu Bồn River — one of the best views in Hội An, with the river wide and golden in the morning. A natural first photo stop.
-
08:30
Hội An Island
Into the island — flat roads, rice paddies, the occasional buffalo. The Vespa pace is perfect here: fast enough to feel the breeze, slow enough to see everything.
-
09:00
Kim Bong Carpentry Village
Watch master woodcarvers at work — the same families who built Hội An's ancient merchant houses and communal temples. The workshop smells of sawdust and lacquer. Your guide introduces you to the craftsmen.
-
10:00
Mat Weaving Village
Sit with local artisans at a traditional sedge loom. Try weaving — it's harder than it looks, and the artisans are patient, amused teachers. Most guests stay longer than planned.
-
10:45
Rice Cake Making Village
Watch — and try — how bánh tráng is made over a wood-fire stove. A craft unchanged for 300 years. The steam, the smell, the family kitchen atmosphere — all of it is the real thing.
-
11:30
Basket Boat — Coconut Forest
The highlight for most guests: a traditional bamboo basket boat through the water palm forest. Your boatman spins the boat in circles that look like magic and aren't quite replicable. Deeply photogenic.
-
12:30
Coffee & Local Lunch
Vietnamese iced coffee and a full local lunch at a family restaurant. Cao Lầu, fresh spring rolls, whatever's good that day. No bill at the table — it's all included.
-
13:00
Drop-off at Hotel
Back across the bridge and to your accommodation. Full morning, real villages, real Hội An.
Afternoon departure at 1:30 PM — same itinerary, same price. Perfect if your morning is already busy.
Four Villages.
One Unforgettable Morning.
Each stop is a working village — not a recreation or a set piece for tourists, but a place where people have practised their craft for generations.
Kim Bong Carpentry
The craftsmen who built Hội An's ancient houses — still working, still using the same hand tools and techniques passed down through families.
Mat Weaving Village
Sit at a traditional sedge loom and try weaving yourself. An artisan shows you the technique — most guests stay far longer than planned.
Rice Cake Making
Bánh tráng made over a wood-fire stove — a craft unchanged for three centuries. Try peeling the rice paper sheets yourself (harder than it looks).
Basket Boat Ride
Through the coconut water forest on a traditional round bamboo boat. The spinning technique takes years to master — and looks like pure magic.
50 km by Vespa
Across the Thu Bồn bridge, through Hội An Island's flat country lanes. The Vespa pace is perfect — fast enough for the breeze, slow enough to see everything.
Local Lunch & Coffee
A full local lunch at a family restaurant — Cao Lầu, spring rolls, whatever's fresh. Vietnamese iced coffee included too.

What Guests Say.
Unfiltered.
"The mat weaving grandmother who taught us, the rice paper lady at the wood-fire stove — real people, real crafts. Riding the Vespa across the bridge in the morning light was a moment I'll remember for a long time."
"The basket boat was unlike anything I've ever done — the boatman's spinning technique is pure magic. And the Kim Bong carpenters were genuinely fascinating to watch. Best morning in Hội An."
"We did the afternoon departure and it was perfect — the light on the river on the way back was stunning. Our guide knew everyone in every village. This is the Hội An tour other tours don't know about."
