What Makes This Tour
Different.
Most tours to My Son go by minibus on the main road. This one goes by open-top Jeep through the countryside — and that changes everything about how the day feels.
My Son Sanctuary
Over 70 Hindu temples built between the 4th–14th century. A jungle valley, moss-covered brick towers, sacred mountains — one of Southeast Asia's most important ancient sites.
Traditional Cham Dance
A live Cham dance performance at the sanctuary — graceful, centuries-old movement in a setting that few stages in the world can match.
Open-top Army Jeep
Roof down, wind through the rice paddies — a restored US Army Jeep on country roads feels completely different from a minibus on the highway.
Great for All Ages
Families, couples, groups — the open Jeep, the Cham dance and the temple exploration all work perfectly for any age. Children love the Jeep.
Villages & Rice Fields
The road to My Son through the countryside is part of the experience — rural markets, green paddies, and villages the standard tour buses never pass through.
Sunrise, Morning or Sunset
Choose the light that suits you — pink dawn over the towers, clear morning sun, or golden-hour shadows on ancient brick. All three are extraordinary.

What Guests Say.

"The open Jeep through the rice paddies was the perfect way to start the day. When we arrived at My Son at sunrise — mist over the towers, no crowds — I genuinely couldn't believe it was real. One of the best decisions of the whole trip."
"We took the sunset departure and arrived at My Son in golden light. The Cham dance with the ancient towers behind was something I'll never forget. Our guide knew the history in extraordinary depth — this is not a standard tour."
"Took our kids (8 and 11) and they absolutely loved the Jeep ride. The countryside market stop was a highlight — they'd never seen anything like it. My Son was breathtaking. Our guide was patient, funny and incredibly knowledgeable."
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything guests ask before booking the My Son Jeep tour.
-
All three are excellent for different reasons. Sunrise (5:15 AM) gives you My Son with almost no other visitors and extraordinary misty light — but it's a very early start. Morning (7:00 AM) is the most popular: cooler temperatures, active villages on the way, good light at the site. Sunset (1:30 PM) offers golden-hour light on the towers and a more relaxed morning — ideal if you want to sleep in or have a morning activity in Hội An.
-
My Son is a complex of over 70 Hindu temples and towers built by the Cham Kingdom between the 4th and 14th centuries. It's Vietnam's most important Cham archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. The temples are built from handmade brick, decorated with stone carvings, and set in a jungle valley surrounded by mountains — one of the most atmospheric ancient sites in Southeast Asia.
-
Yes — traditional Cham dance is performed live at the sanctuary and is fully included in the tour price. Performances run at scheduled times during the day. Your guide will ensure you don't miss it.
-
Absolutely. The open Jeep is a highlight for children of all ages. The temple complex is easy to walk through and the Cham dance performance is visually spectacular for kids. The morning departure (7:00 AM) is usually the best choice for families.
-
Always. We never combine groups. The Jeep and guide are exclusively yours for the entire tour — no strangers, no shared schedule, no compromises on what you do at My Son.
-
